Lovely cottage along the river, full of charm with the most beautiful and peaceful garden ever! We spent very relaxing days in this beautiful area.

We had a lovely stay at Bridge Cottage. Lots of tourist attractions close by. The cottage was very clean on arrival and we loved the cobbly walk next to the River Avon, which flows past the cottage. Beautiful surroundings.

We had a lovely stay at Bridge Cottage. A lovely house with all you could need. The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen had all you needed, the garden with the river was amazing and having a fire in the evening, with the June Devon weather! Was wonderful. My friend managed to work from the kitchen so handy if you need to bring work with you. Avonwick is a great location and everything Devon is available within a car drive.

We had a lovely long weekend at Denise's cottage. The accommodation was very homely and comfortable, and was a good base to explore the local area. Denise is a great host - easy to get hold of and quick to respond.

Excellent cottage. River location very picturesque. Adjacent to road but doesn’t impact enjoyment, especially with gardens / Cobbly Walk.  Suitable for small children. Would gladly return.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little house. It had everything we needed. Great location for beaches and Dartmoor. We walked down Cobbly Lane and went wild swimming. Denise’s tips on local activities, restaurants and beaches were fantastic.

Really lovely cottage perfect for our stay. Great location close to both the moor and coast with a pub a short stroll from the house. Would stay here again without a doubt.

A very stunning and beautifully designed cottage.

We were allowed to spend an unforgettable week in a beautiful cottage. Everything was there and in perfect condition. The coast or many other destinations can be reached quickly. Communication with Denise was very friendly and uncomplicated. We have no hesitation in recommending the cottage for a family with two children.

Bridge Cottage was perfect for our family for a long weekend. The house was cosy and well equipt and done up to a high spec. The garden was beautifully kept and had the sun in the evening, perfect for a glass of wine at the end of the day. It is on a main road as mentioned in the description but it is quiet at night and the road didn't bother us, in fact it was convenient for our day trips. Highly recommended.

"What a delightful time we had at Bridge Cottage. It’s location was perfect in traveling to Dartmoor or Totnes or the many lovely spots around. Dining outdoors near the water was a treat - and we saw a couple notable birds and blooms. Highly recommend this stay."

"We had a lovely stay at Bridge Cottage. It was very cosy and felt very much a home. Beds were so comfortable sleeping was easy! Very calm and relaxing garden with the river babbling past made sitting out there a real pleasure. Would be quite happy to return for another holiday. Denise was very helpful and totally on the ball for any questions. Thank you."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the delightful and historic Bridge Cottage, with the tranquil sounds of the adjacent Avon river and a lovely garden.  The facilities inside were comprehensive and the beds were very comfortable.  The cottage’s thick walls and small windows (with their shutters) ensured a cool house in the warm weather, which was conducive to a good night’s sleep.  The cottage’s location was ideal for us, being within around 30 minutes’ drive of southern Dartmoor, Dartmouth, Brixham and Salcombe. Denise was readily available by phone in the event of any query.  Highly recommended!"

"We had a few lovely days at Bridge cottage - it is truly a wonderful place. We spent several evenings by the river, enjoying spotting kingfishers, bats and other wildlife. The garden was adorably quaint, with fresh strawberries ready for picking. Inside, the cottage is well stocked with every facility needed for our stay. It was comfortable and we felt very at home. Denise was a fantastic host, friendly, accommodating, and to hand if we needed anything. A wonderful short adventure."

"We had a lovely time staying at bridge cottage. Our two kids - 11 and 5 - loved walking along the river and trying to follow the ducklings that were everywhere. Had a good family-friendly cycle on the Wray Valley trail between Moretonhampstead and Bovey Tracey (great name). Super comfy beds too."

"We had a lovely time staying in Denise's cottage. The place had a real homely and charming feel to it and felt very spacious for a cottage - having 3 floors. There was beautiful artwork all around the house, and after a long days hike the jacuzzi was a real treat. The sun shone straight into the garden every evening - perfect for alfresco dinner. Would definitely visit again."

"Bridge Cottage was the perfect hideaway for our long weekend break and an ideal location for exploring the surrounding areas. The cottage itself is wonderful and easily spacious enough for two couples, yet it still has that traditional cosy cottage feeling. The garden is beautiful, with the river running alongside it and the birds chirping in the trees. It was so tranquil that we cancelled our dinner plans in favour of staying in the garden for a barbecue. Dartmoor is only a stone’s throw away, as are many lovely towns and villages. There’s also a nice pub only a minute’s walk from the cottage. Everything we could possibly have needed was provided at Bridge Cottage and Denise was extremely helpful in providing local information. We can’t wait to go back and I’ve already recommended it to friends and family."
